Job Description

Oversee and ensure adherence to welding procedures (WPS) and specifications throughout pipeline construction, guaranteeing flawless execution and compliance.
Conduct thorough inspections of welds, utilizing NDT methods like visual, radiographic, and ultrasonic testing, to identify and rectify any defects.
Monitor welders’ performance, providing guidance and training to maintain high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
Review and approve welding documentation, including welder qualifications, material certifications, and inspection reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to resolve welding-related issues and optimize welding processes for efficiency.
Maintain detailed records of welding activities, including weld maps, inspection results, and corrective actions, for traceability and regulatory compliance.
Ensure the proper storage, handling, and use of welding consumables to prevent contamination and maintain weld integrity.
Participate in pre-job meetings and provide technical input on welding-related aspects of pipeline projects.
Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to pipeline welding, ensuring compliance and best practices.
Investigate welding-related incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Diploma(Welding Technology), Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Metallurgy)

Male

Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Holds a valid Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from AWS or a recognized equivalent. Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline welding inspection and quality control. Exhibits a strong understanding of pipeline welding codes and standards, such as ASME B4/B8 and API Has extensive knowledge of various welding processes, including SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW, and their applications in pipeline construction. Displays proficiency in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including visual, radiographic, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle testing. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with welders, engineers, and project management teams. Exhibits strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve welding-related issues. Possesses a proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures, and specifications. Is fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus
