Job Description

1. Position Overview

The Sales Manager – Downstream Chemicals will be responsible for driving business growth, managing key customer accounts, and expanding AquaChemie’s presence in the downstream, refinery, and process chemicals market across Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong technical knowledge of downstream chemical products, excellent customer engagement skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

2. Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Business Development

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with commercial objectives to sustain and grow the downstream chemicals business.

• Prepare and execute short-term and long-term sales plans for each assigned customer account. • Forecast product demand and prepare annual sales budgets and sales targets.

• Identify new opportunities, projects, and market segments to expand footprint in KSA.

Customer Relationship Management

• Meet regularly with customers to understand their requirements, challenges, and operational needs.

• Build strong and long-term relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.

• Recommend suitable products, new technologies, and value-added solutions based on customer needs.

• Manage and expedite the resolution of customer concerns to ensure high satisfaction.

Enquiry Management & Proposals

• Monitor customer portals and enquiry platforms to ensure no opportunity is missed.

• Coordinate with Head Office to obtain optimal techno-commercial quotations.

• Prepare comprehensive, accurate, and competitive techno-commercial proposals.

• Submit proposals within deadlines and follow up proactively to convert opportunities into successful orders. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain regular reporting formats including Daily Activity Reports, Sales Funnel Updates, Visit Reports, and Project Status Reports.

• Ensure timely creation of Sales Orders and coordinate with supply chain for on-time deliveries. Commercial Execution

• Ensure timely collection of payments as per the agreed terms.

• Monitor inventory and ensure liquidation of stocks procured for specific customers.

• Prevent slow-moving or dead inventory through efficient sales planning.

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Chemical), Bachelor of Science(Chemistry), Master of Technology/Engineering(Chemical)

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred).

• Strong techno-commercial understanding of chemical applications in refining, petrochemical, and industrial processes.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Strong networking ability with refinery, petrochemical, and industrial customers.
