Power System Studies Engineer – Saudi National
Location: Saudi Arabia (Riyadh or another major city)

Turner Lovell is recruiting for a utilities-backed power systems consultancy that is expanding in Saudi Arabia. The team advises utilities, system operators and developers on how to plan, reinforce and operate electricity grids as more renewables connect to the system.
They are looking for a Saudi national Power System Studies Engineer to support grid and renewable integration projects in KSA and the wider region.

Your Responsibilities
Perform power system studies for transmission and sub-transmission networks, including:
Load flow / power flow and voltage profile analysis
Short-circuit / fault level calculations
Support grid integration of renewables (solar PV, wind, storage) by:
Carrying out grid connection and impact studies
Checking grid code compliance (fault ride through, reactive power, voltage and frequency support)
Proposing reinforcement or mitigation options
Contribute to grid development and investment planning studies
Prepare clear technical reports and presentations for utilities, system operators and developers
Work with international experts and participate in client workshops and project meetings as needed
The Ideal Candidate
Saudi national (KSA passport holder)
Degree in Electrical / Power Engineering (BSc or MSc), ideally with a focus on power systems
Experience as a Power System Studies Engineer / Power System Engineer / Network Planning Engineer in a utility, consultancy or similar environment
Solid understanding of:
Power flow, short-circuit and contingency analysis
Transmission network operation (voltage, thermal limits, basic protection concepts)
Hands-on experience with one or more tools, for example: PSS®E / PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD or similar
Exposure to renewable integration and grid code requirements in KSA or GCC is a strong plus
Strong written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage for client-facing work
