Senior Estimation Engineer MEP Projects

Job Description

Lead and manage the entire estimation process for MEP projects ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications and client requirements
Conduct thorough reviews of project plans specifications and related documents to identify potential risks opportunities and cost saving measures
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates including material labor equipment and subcontractor costs using relevant software and tools
Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project budgets and schedules
Analyze bid documents specifications and drawings to prepare complete accurate and competitive bids for MEP projects
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms for materials and services
Prepare and present bid proposals to clients highlighting the project scope pricing and technical aspects of the proposed solutions
Maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data vendor information and other relevant information to improve estimating accuracy
Stay up to date with industry trends new technologies and best practices in MEP estimating to continuously improve the estimation process

Desired Candidate Profile

Any Nationality

Diploma(Engineering)

Male

Possesses a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field a Masters degree is a plus
Holds a professional engineering license PE or equivalent certification LEED accreditation is a plus
Exhibits a proven track record of successfully estimating and managing MEP projects of varying sizes and complexities
Demonstrates proficiency in using estimating software such as AutoCAD Revit Bluebeam and relevant cost estimating tools experience with BIM is preferred
Possesses strong knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC electrical plumbing fire protection and building automation systems
Demonstrates a minimum of 12 years of experience in MEP estimation within the construction industry with a focus on large scale projects
Displays excellent analytical problem solving and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information
Demonstrates strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers subcontractors and clients
Is fluent in English written and spoken knowledge of additional languages is a plus
