Mechanical Inspectors
Job Description
Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.
Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
Checks power transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system, Remote terminal unit, instruments, cables, tunings etc.
Performs visual inspections, dimensional test, checks rating and material for connection.
Execute Inspection, interpret results and prepare daily report.
Ensure the best quality of execution.
Any other duties and tasks, as assigned by QC Supervisors and Managers on the project.

Any Nationality
Diploma(Engineering), Bachelor of Technology/Engineering
Any
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma of Associate Engineering
CSWIP or AWS Certificate is Mandatory
Training, Experience and Certification in the relevant discipline, for which they are qualified to work.
Be familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes that will be used during QC surveillance activities in onshore and offshore fabrication projects.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in overall mechanical inspection
Technical Knowledge / Skills:
Ability to coordinate with client for the preparations and inspection, as per agreed scope of work or inspection plan.
Ability to make judgments on the inspection findings.
Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Possess and applies risk-based thinking and works in compliance with SGS Safety rules and obligations.
