Job Description

Preparation of FEED / DBSP documents and drawings.
Preparation of DED documents and drawings.
Preparation of Bid engineering estimates for the project.
Preparation of Scope of work and Engineering man-hour estimate of the project.
Preparation of Scope of Work, Basis of Design.
Preparation of Construction Scope of Work for the Contractor.
Attend Site Surveys with Clients and Contractors to determine the requirements necessary for an accurate and competitive design proposal.

Preparation of SLD / 3 LD / Schematic Diagram
Preparation of Cable Selection / Sizing
Preparation of Electrical Layouts/ Power/ Lighting/ Grounding /Equipment / Cable Routing / Lighting
Knowledge related to IEEE/NFFA/IEL/
Preparation of CT Specification
Preparation of Fault Level Calc. & Relay Coordination
Vendor Evaluation (TBE & NMR)
Preparation of Hazardous Area Classification
Preparation of Electrical Specs/ Datasheet
Preparation of Cable Schedule
Preparation of Electrical Calculations and ETAP
Preparation of UPS Battery Calculations
Preparation of Grounding calculation
Preparation of Lighting proof calculation
Preparation of fire alarm system layout, Riser Diagram
Preparation of Cable Tray sizing

Technical skills

Implement project/client requirements into electrical design.
Prepare electrical load list, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, cable schedules, and MTO.
Perform power system studies (short circuit, coordination, motor starting) using ETAP.
Perform Insulation coordination and transient study using PSCAD or EMTP software.
Perform calculations for equipment sizing, UPS, cable sizing, lighting, grounding, and heat tracing.
Prepare specifications, data sheets, cable schedules, and interface schedules.
Produce material take-off and material requisition.
Review Bids, Technical Evaluations, and NMRs.
Design and checking of single lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams, area classification, grounding, panel/cable schedules, equipment layout, cable layout, tray layout, lighting, and installation details.
Review and coordinate electrical 2D AutoCAD/ Micro-station drawings.
Supervise and coordinate the activity with designers and/or engineers.
Review vendor drawings.
Visit construction/plant sites and fabrication shops & during the design phase on a required basis.
Provide Construction Support by responding to contractor TQs or RFCs.
