Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Quality Control:
Conduct visual inspections of pipelines to ensure proper alignment, welding, coating, and joint integrity.
Verify that materials used comply with project specifications and industry standards (API, ASME, ASTM, etc.).
Check pipe supports, fittings, valves, and welds for defects or inconsistencies.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all pipeline construction activities adhere to safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, reports, and non-conformance issues.
Work with quality control teams to resolve any compliance or safety concerns.
Testing & Verification:
Assist in hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing of pipelines.
Monitor pipeline flushing, purging, and cleaning activities.
Verify welding and coating quality through non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
Coordination & Communication:
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and safety officers to address quality and technical issues.
Communicate findings and recommendations to the project management team.
Participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks.

Diploma, Bachelor of Technology/Engineering

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or BE
Experience in pipeline inspection, quality control, or construction in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of pipeline codes and standards (API 1104, ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8).
Familiarity with NDT techniques (RT, UT, PT, MT).
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
Good communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work in challenging site conditions and adapt to project demands.
