Job Description

Metallurgical Process Management

Monitor and control melting and casting processes.

Evaluate and improve metallurgical parameters to maximize yield and purity.

Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for foundry processes.

Quality Assurance & Control

Perform quality checks and metallurgical testing (e.g., spectrometry, sampling).

Analyze gold composition and impurity levels.

Investigate and resolve quality deviations and ensure corrective actions.

Technical Supervision

Supervise foundry technicians and operators during production.

Provide technical guidance in crucible usage, temperature control, and metal pouring.

Ensure all equipment and tools are calibrated and maintained properly.

Safety and Compliance

Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards in the foundry.

Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols.

Train staff on handling molten metals and hazardous materials safely.

Process Improvement and Research

Identify and implement process optimizations to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Stay updated with new metallurgical techniques and technologies in gold refining.

Participate in R&D initiatives to enhance product quality or process sustainability.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate logs of process parameters, production reports, and testing data.

Document any process changes, incidents, or deviations from standards.

Prepare technical reports for internal use or audits.

Inventory and Material Management

Monitor raw material and consumable usage (fluxes, crucibles, mold materials).

Coordinate with the warehouse and procurement for timely material supply.

Coordination with Other Departments

Work closely with Quality Control, Production Planning, and Maintenance teams.

Support cross-departmental projects related to process automation or technology upgrades.
