Job Description
BESS – Instrument Technician shall inspect, monitor, repair and calibrate the control instruments of 450MW Battery Energy Storge System (BESS) in NEOM region. It shall support to maintain safety, equipment integrity and reliability of assets in accordance with NGHC maintenance strategy whilst ensuring uninterrupted plant operations and effective upkeep. It shall also contribute to continuous workflow improvements and increase in the asset productivity and efficiency.
The main functions of this position are:
Carry out daily maintenance work and routine preventative maintenance work according to set schedule and maintenance procedures.
Routine calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability. It also involves adjusting the instruments to match established standards and checking for any discrepancies.
Oversee third-party maintenance contractors and report any deviation / non-conformance with respect to contract and approved maintenance procedures.
Coordinate with other maintenance disciplines for safe isolation of equipment and LOTO implementation
Participate in EPC contractor site installation, testing and construction activities
This role will be reporting to BESS Maintenance Engineer to be based out of BESS Site, OXAGON, Tabuk Region, Saudi Arabia.

Any Nationality
Diploma(Electronics, Instrumentation & Control)
Any
Associate’s Diploma in Electronics / Instrumentation
5+ years’ experience in maintenance of utility-scale BESS power plants with minimum size of 200 MW
2+ years’ experience in development / construction of utility-scale BESS power plants with minimum size of 100 MW
Good knowledge of maintenance of field instruments, signalling and SCADA equipment
Basic understanding and concept of SCADA scheme drawings and operational activities of BESS plant
Basic understanding of WTG instrumentation
Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system
Teamwork and effective collaboration skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills as well
