Estimation Manager

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimation Manager to lead and oversee all estimation activities across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the estimation team, preparing competitive and accurate cost estimates, analyzing project risks, and ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives. This role plays a key part in securing new projects and maintaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the entire estimation process from initial enquiry through to tender submission.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs to determine project scope and estimation requirements.
• Allocate tasks to estimators and monitor progress to meet submission deadlines.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and planning departments to collect relevant data for accurate pricing.
• Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Evaluate and manage risks, contingencies, and margins in estimates.
• Prepare and present tender review reports and cost summaries for management approval.
• Engage in post-tender clarifications, value engineering, and negotiations with clients as needed.
• Maintain estimation database, price library, and historical cost records for reference.
• Supervise and mentor junior estimators and estimation engineers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards throughout the estimation process.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15–20 years of experience in estimation, with at least 10 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing trends.
• Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Candy,) and MS Office (especially Excel).
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in infrastructure and industrial construction projects.
• Familiarity with UAE/local authority tendering procedures..
• Has knowledge in software specially related to Estimation
