Nurse – Derma
Job Description
We are looking for candidates to fill a Derma Nurse role at one of the clinics in Muscat. The Aesthetic Nurse will assist the Dermatologist in the diagnosis and treatment of various skin conditions. This role involves working closely with patients, performing skin exams, assessing conditions, recording medical history and test results, and following up on treatment plans. The ideal candidate will be passionate about aesthetics and dermatology and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform chemical peels, facials, and laser treatments (ablative & non-ablative).
Experience with intravenous and intramuscular injections; ability to locate difficult veins is an advantage.
Proficiency with state-of-the-art machines (e.g., HydraFacial, Silk Peel Dermal Fusion, Clear and Brilliant Laser, Carbon Laser, Forma by InMode, Micro-needling, etc.).
Assist the dermatologist in urgent situations (e.g., anaphylaxis, shock, cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
Provide customized skincare treatments under the guidance of a Dermatologist/Cosmetologist.
Maintain and update medical documentation, patient records, and before/after photos.
Prioritize client care and safety at all times.
Perform preventive and therapeutic measures as prescribed by the cosmetologist.
Carry out aesthetic cosmetic procedures (e.g., facial cleaning, comedo extraction, facial massage, meso-rollers).
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the working area and equipment.
Prepare clients for procedures, apply anesthesia, and assist during treatments.
Maintain infection control protocols, ensuring infectious safety for both patients and staff.
Experience in phlebotomy is an added advantage.
Promote and practice clinically safe procedures within the clinic.
Address psychosocial concerns impacting patients with skin conditions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Any Arab National, Any European National, Any Anglophone National, Any CIS National
Diploma, Bachelor of Science(Nursing), Master of Science(Nursing)
Female
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, meeting Oman Ministry of Health guidelines.
Diploma/Certificate in Skin Care Treatments (e.g., Cosmetology) preferred.
Certification in handling advanced skincare machines preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of continuous work experience in dermatology or cosmetic/aesthetic dermatology.
Ability to conduct thorough skin exams and record patient medical history accurately.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
English fluency required; Arabic fluency is an advantage.
Pleasant demeanor, positive attitude, and charismatic approach.
Must demonstrate integrity, dependability, and a collaborative work ethic in a team-driven environment.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
