Mechanical Inspector

Job Description

Inspection & Quality Assurance: • Conduct thorough inspections of Mechanical equipment, components, and systems at vendor locations to ensure compliance with Aramco standards and client specifications. • Verify that the materials, workmanship, and equipment meet relevant international codes (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM) and Aramco specifications. • Inspect mechanical items at various stages of production (fabrication, assembly, testing).

2. Compliance with Aramco Standards and other project specifications: • Ensure all inspections in compliance with Aramco’s quality management requirements, specifically for projects where Aramco-approved inspectors are mandated • Conduct inspections in accordance with approved Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and projectspecific Quality Control Plans (QCPs). • Liaise with vendors to resolve any non-conformances and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.

3. Third-Party Inspection Coordination: • Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party inspection services at vendor locations. • Coordinate inspection schedules with vendors, clients, and other parties to meet project deadlines. • Review and validate vendor inspection reports, ensure to meet Aramco’s documentation and reporting requirements. • Ensure all testing is performed according to client specifications and project requirements. • Verify test results and ensure that all required documentation is complete and accurate.

4. Documentation & Reporting: • Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, observations, and any deviations from standards. • Ontime submission of Inspection reports and other reports required by client

5. Non-Conformance Management: • Identify and document non-conformances, discrepancies, and defects observed during inspections. • Work closely with vendors and clients to implement corrective actions and prevent reoccurrence of issues. • Ensure that all non-conformance reports (NCRs) are closed in a timely manner and that corrective actions meet project and Aramco standards.

Diploma, Bachelor of Technology/Engineering, Master of Technology/Engineering

Skills and Competencies: • Strong knowledge of Mechanical engineering principles, fabrication techniques, and testing methods. • In-depth understanding of Aramco standards and specifications. • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, isometrics, and blueprints. • Expertise in quality assurance, non-destructive testing, and other inspection techniques. • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise inspection reports.
