Job Description
Develop, review, and ensure compliance with material standards and specifications for electrical equipment and systems used in distribution networks.
Collaborate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure materials meet technical requirements.
Review and provide technical guidance on material selection for electrical systems.
Support the integration of new technologies and standards in the design and construction of distribution networks.
Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including specifications, standards, and guidelines.
Ensure adherence to international standards and best practices.
Participate in technical meetings and liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and standards related to material specifications.
Desired Candidate Profile
Any Nationality
Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Electrical), Master of Technology/Engineering(Electrical)
Any
Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience: A minimum of 20-25 years of experience in a reputed electrical consultancy firm with a focus on material standards and specifications.
Memberships: Preferably a member of international technical committees such as IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), CIGRE (International Council on Large Electric Systems), or similar.
Industry Experience: Previous experience working with distribution utilities in material standards and specifications.
Hands-on experience in design and construction activities for electrical equipment in distribution networks.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment and materials used in distribution networks.
Ability to develop and implement technical specifications and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and technical challenges.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
