Job Description:

We are currently hiring an experienced Backend and Database Services Developer for a critical role in a Digital Oilfield Solutions project with a leading client in the Oil & Gas sector based in Kuwait. This contract position is managed by Brunel on a one-year extendable basis.

Note: Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is mandatory. Applications without Oil & Gas experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage project data models and Java backend services.
Manage SQL/Postgres databases, develop queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance.
Ensure database security, integrity, backup, and recovery.
Collaborate with the development team to integrate backend services efficiently.
Develop microservices using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate.
Debug and optimize SQL queries and backend processes.

Mandatory Requirements:

Minimum 7 years of experience in backend development and database management.
Strong skills in:
Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate
Microservices architecture
SQL Server / PostgreSQL
Database tuning and performance optimization
Essential: Proven experience in the Oil & Gas domain.
Good knowledge of database security and access control.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with Big Data and Data Science concepts.
Familiarity with Landmark Business Domain is an advantage.
Strong communication and documentation capabilities.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, & Engineering, or MIS.
Certifications in Java, SQL, or Oracle preferred.

Client: Leading Oil & Gas company
Department: Digital Oilfield Solutions
Duration: 1 Year (Extendable)
Mode: Contract Hire / Secondment (Under Brunel Visa & Payroll)
Work Schedule: 5 Days a Week, 8 Hours a Day
