Job Description

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement transportation strategies to ensure efficient movement of crude oil, refined products, and equipment.

· Logistics Management: Coordinate the transportation of oil and gas by road, rail, pipeline, or sea, including inbound and outbound logistics.

· Vendor & Contractor Oversight: Manage and negotiate contracts with logistics service providers, freight carriers, and equipment haulers.

· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with industry regulations (e.g., DOT, HSE, EPA), environmental laws, and company safety policies.

· Fleet Management: Supervise the maintenance, inspection, and operation of company or third-party vehicles, tankers, and heavy transport equipment.

· Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies, including emergency response planning for spills or transportation incidents.

· Cost Control: Optimize transportation routes and methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency, including fuel management and load planning.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, engineering, and field operations to align logistics strategies with operational needs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Any European National, Any Anglophone National, Indian, Pakistani

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration, MBA/PG Diploma in Business Mgmt(supply chain)

Any

– Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

– Minimum 10–15 years of experience in logistics/transportation management within the oil and gas sector.

– Strong understanding of oil and gas operations (upstream, midstream, downstream).

– Knowledge of transportation modes (pipeline, truck, rail, marine).

– Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM, TMS).

– Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

– Ability to manage high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.

– Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

– Transportation Management Certification

– HAZMAT or HSE certification
