Senior Wet Utilities Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Wet Utilities Design Engineer to join our team. The role requires a strong technical background in the planning, design, and delivery of wet utilities systems such as water supply, firefighting, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and sewerage networks in compliance with international standards and local authority requirements. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in infrastructure design development, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring design quality and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the design and coordination of wet utility systems, including potable water, TSE, fire water, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and wastewater networks.
Prepare hydraulic models, engineering calculations, and technical design reports.
Review and develop detailed designs, drawings, and BOQs in compliance with local authorities (e.g., Ashghal, Kahramaa) and international standards (e.g., BS, AWWA).
Liaise and coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, and external consultants for interdisciplinary design integration.
Review submissions and respond to RFI, NCRs, and authority comments.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the infrastructure team.
Support with tender documents preparation, technical evaluation of contractor proposals, and value engineering.
Stay abreast of technological innovations, materials, and regulatory updates in wet utility infrastructure design.
