BI Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated BI Automation Engineer to join a

dynamic team at a leading bank in Riyadh. This role will focus on driving the

automation of Business Intelligence (BI) processes, including report generation, with

the aim to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time for the BI team.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation of BI Reports: Write and implement code to automate the generation of Management Information System (MIS) reports and streamline the report generation process.
Technical Design: Lead technical design discussions to determine the best approaches for automating various BI processes.
Identify Automation Opportunities: Continuously identify new areas within the BI workflow that can be automated. Propose alternative solutions and improvements to existing processes.
Hands-on Coding: Use programming languages such as Python, VBA, .NET, or other relevant technologies to automate tasks and processes.
Productionizing Solutions: Take ownership of transitioning automated solutions from development to production, ensuring smooth deployment and adoption across the BI team.
KPI Management: Continuously monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for BI automation projects. Highlight any gaps, risks, or areas of concern and work towards mitigating them.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks in the automation process, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues to management as necessary.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders, to align automation initiatives with business goals.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python, .NET, VBA, and otherautomation-related programming languages.
BI Reporting Tools: Hands-on experience with BI reporting tools such as
Microsoft Power BI, OBIEE, or similar.
Data Analytics Knowledge: Familiarity with data analytics concepts, SQL, and experience working with Data Warehouses, Big Data platforms, or similar data systems.
Self-Motivated: A proactive, self-disciplined approach to work with the ability to drive projects independently.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
