QC Supervisor (Coating & Painting) – ARAMCO Approved

We are hiring a qualified and Saudi Aramco-approved QC Supervisor (Coating).
Candidate must have minimum of 10 years experience in QC field.
Candidate must have NACE/BGAS Coating Inspection qualification
Candidate must have completed 1 complete project as QC Supervisor.
Candidate must have experience of supervision of painting and coating activities within large-scale onshore oil & gas, and petrochemical construction projects of Saudi Aramco.
Candidate must be able to speak a good English and should have experience to prepare reports and documentations.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of quality management systems, international/national coating standards (SAES, SAEP, NACE, SSPC, ISO, ASTM, IOGP, NORSOK), and demonstrate a proven ability to lead and mentor QC teams. This role demands extensive experience in all facets of coating inspection, quality documentation, and problem resolution to ensure project compliance and achieve zero-defect objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare, obtain approval for, and ensure rigorous implementation of Project Coating Quality Control Procedures, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements in strict adherence to Client/Saudi Aramco specifications and international standards.
Oversee the effective implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Quality Inspection Plan (QIP).
Monitor and enforce QA/QC procedures, implementing corrective measures to maintain quality objectives and QMS integrity, actively fostering a zero-defect culture.
Supervise and lead QC inspection activities across all coating types (FBE, Liquid, Concrete Weight, Galvanizing, Visco Elastic) on various substrates (CS, SS, Alloy, Bronze, Concrete) for pipelines, piping, valves, and fabricated structures.
Directly manage personnel qualification for FBE/Liquid coating applicators, abrasive blasters, and STOPAQ applicators as per SAEP-316.
Conduct pre-qualification inspections and audits of contractors, sub-contractors, and third-party facilities, assessing their capabilities against Client/International standards.
Control and maintain calibration records for all coating inspection equipment (Dew Point Meters, Salt Test Meters, Profile Gauges, DFT Gauges, Holiday Testing equipment, etc.).
Investigate coating defects, perform root cause analysis (using 5-whys, fishbone diagrams), and implement effective correction and corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare Inspection Assignment Plans (IAPs) for FBE, Liquid Coating, and Hot Dip Galvanizing.
Oversee the preparation of weekly QA/QC Reports, including Coating DPRs and rejection rates.
Manage the preparation of final coating dossiers and ensure comprehensive quality record maintenance.
Review and approve subcontractor work procedures and method statements for coating material handling, surface preparation, application, and final inspection.
Coordination & Compliance:
Serve as the primary liaison with the Client and engineering teams to resolve site/engineering issues related to QA/QC aspects.
Coordinate with construction teams for the timely closure of non-conformities.
Ensure all coating activities comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and company safety, health, environment, and quality policies.
Deliver in-house training, verification, and advice to site Painting/Coating quality teams and crew supervisors to minimize NCRs and deficiencies.
