Job Description
Supply Chain Management:
Oversee the procurement, storage, and timely delivery of ship provisions, including food, spare parts, safety equipment, and consumables.
Ensure all products meet international quality standards (ISO, ISSA, IMPA) and comply with KSA regulations (SFDA, QHSSE).
Vendor & Inventory Control:
Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate with port authorities, customs, and shipping agents to ensure smooth clearance and delivery of goods.
Oversee logistics for 24/7 ship supply services across Saudi ports (Yanbu, Jeddah, Jubail, etc.).
Quality & Compliance:
Implement and monitor quality control procedures for all supplied items.
Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, SOLAS).
Team Leadership:
Supervise a team of procurement officers, warehouse staff, and logistics coordinators.
Conduct training on compliance, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
Customer & Stakeholder Relations:
Act as the primary point of contact for ship captains, crew, and clients.
Resolve complaints and ensure high service satisfaction.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and invoices.
Prepare monthly reports on supply chain performance and cost efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
Any Nationality
Master of Technology/Engineering(Marine), MBA/PG Diploma in Business Mgmt(International Business)
Any
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
Certifications: ISSA/IMPA Membership, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or HACCP preferred.
Experience:
5+ years in ship chandelling, maritime logistics, or procurement, preferably in Saudi ports.
Proven track record in managing high-volume supply chains for vessels (tankers, cargo ships, yachts).
Skills & Competencies:
Technical:
Proficiency in inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office.
Knowledge of KSA customs regulations and maritime laws.
Soft Skills:
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
Leadership with a focus on teamwork and operational efficiency.
Languages:
Fluent in English (mandatory); Arabic proficiency is a plus.
Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
Additional Notes:
Work Environment: Fast-paced, with frequent port visits and on-call duties.
Travel: May require travel to FMH branches across Saudi Arabia.
