Job Description

The Credit Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s credit control procedures, ensuring timely payments, reducing outstanding debts, and improving cash flow. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in credit control or a similar financial role, preferably in the wholesale or distribution sector.

Credit Management:
Review and assess credit applications for new and existing customers, ensuring all necessary documentation and checks are completed.
Set and monitor customer credit limits based on financial analysis and risk assessments.
Accounts Receivable:
Monitor and manage outstanding receivables to ensure timely payments.
Follow up on overdue accounts through calls, emails, and written correspondence.
Collections:
Resolve any billing disputes with customers, working closely with the sales and customer service teams.
Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with clients when necessary.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit regular reports on account status, aged debt analysis, and cash flow forecasts to the Finance Manager.
Maintain up-to-date records of customer payments, adjustments, and account statuses.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements in the credit control function to optimize the collection process and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
Work closely with the finance and sales teams to address potential credit risks and mitigate losses.
Compliance:
Ensure all credit control activities are carried out in line with company policies, industry regulations, and applicable financial guidelines.
Customer Relationships:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure smooth credit processes and dispute resolutions.

Experience: 3-4 years of experience in credit control or finance, preferably within wholesale or distribution sectors.
Education: A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills: Strong understanding of credit control procedures and financial analysis. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both in English and Arabic. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
