Job Description

Lead the procurement of complex civil engineering materials, equipment, and services, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
Conduct thorough market research, identify potential suppliers, and evaluate their capabilities to secure the best value for the organization.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers, demonstrating strong commercial acumen and achieving cost savings.
Manage the entire procurement cycle, from initial request to delivery and payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide procurement support.
Develop and maintain a database of approved suppliers, regularly assessing their performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Analyze procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization, and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and present procurement reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing recommendations for improvement.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and market trends in civil engineering procurement.

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Civil)

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong technical foundation.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in procurement within the civil engineering or construction industry, demonstrating expertise.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects, showcasing practical application of procurement principles.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering materials, equipment, and construction methods, ensuring informed decision-making.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, enabling effective supplier relationships and cost optimization.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach.
