Job Description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Qatar for a :

General Foreman (Hazardous Waste)

HWTC comprises of Liquid Hazardous Waste Treatment Facility (LHWTF), Stabilization & Solidification Facility (SSF), Oily Waste Treatment Facility (OWTF), Class-I landfill facility, Class-II landfill facility, Land farming facility, Interim Storage facilities, Process Water Storage Ponds, Evaporation Ponds and other ancillaries. MIC is in advance stage of commissioning of various facilities at HWTC: a mixing facility and an Anaerobic Thermal Desorption Unit (ATDU).

Desired Candidate Profile

Any Nationality

Diploma(Chemical), Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Environmental), Bachelor of Science(Environmental science)

Male

Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science / Environmental Chemistry or BSc in Organic / Inorganic Chemistry.

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of working experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Chemical Industry. Out of that minimum 5 years of experience in Waste Identification / Waste Characterization / Waste Classification / Operation & Maintenance of Hazardous Waste Treatment Centre.
Incumbent shall be able to read and interpret the Material Safety Data Sheet and associate hazards / risk of the hazardous waste.
Fluent in Spoken and Written English.
Good data interpretation and compilation skills.
Ability to perform field inspection / sampling.
Troubleshoot the operational faults and problem solving.
Ability to work in team and to be flexible in work assignment.
Good supervisory skill, inter-personnel skill, and investigation skills
Computer literacy and fluency in micro soft office applications is essential.
Incumbent shall be capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
Candidate shall hold a valid Qatar driving license.
