Job Title: Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer

Job Summary:
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory for the restaurant. The role ensures timely procurement of quality food ingredients, kitchen equipment, packaging materials, and other operational supplies at competitive prices, in accordance with company policies and the Qatar regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities:
Source and negotiate with suppliers for food items, beverages, cleaning materials, kitchen equipment, and other restaurant needs.
Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
Evaluate supplier performance based on price, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
Maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and wastage.
Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to forecast food requirements and ensure quality standards.
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and new supplier options.
Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with company policies and local laws.
Resolve any issues related to damaged, missing, or substandard deliveries.
Prepare procurement reports for management on costs, stock status, and supplier performance.
Liaise with the finance department for payment processing and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the F&B or hospitality sector.
Knowledge of local suppliers and import regulations in Qatar.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and procurement software.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Based in Qatar, with occasional visits to markets, suppliers, or warehouse locations.
Must be flexible to work extended hours when required.
