Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Engineer

Job Description

Design and implement GIS databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and efficient storage for spatial information management.
Perform spatial analysis, including geoprocessing, network analysis, and suitability modeling, to extract meaningful insights from geographic data.
Conduct data validation and quality control checks to ensure the reliability and consistency of spatial datasets used in various projects.
Create and maintain metadata for all GIS datasets and projects, following industry standards for documentation and data discovery.
Develop and maintain geospatial applications using programming languages like Python or JavaScript to automate tasks and create custom tools for data analysis.
Stay up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve workflows and project outcomes.
Develop and maintain web-based GIS applications using platforms like ArcGIS Online or other cloud-based GIS solutions.

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Civil)

Male

Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Demonstrates 3-5 years of professional experience in the GIS field, indicating practical application of knowledge and skills.
Proficiency in ArcGIS or QGIS is essential
Prior experience in the transportation, urban planning or environmental science industry, showcasing domain-specific knowledge.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
A proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for geospatial technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.
