Job Summary:
The Medium Voltage Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting medium voltage systems (1kV–36kV) used in water infrastructure and earthworks operations. The technician ensures the efficient and safe operation of power systems at remote and field sites, including pumping stations, water treatment systems, and heavy equipment power distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain medium voltage electrical systems for water projects, including pumps, control panels, and distribution boards.
Conduct testing and commissioning of MV equipment in coordination with the project team.
Troubleshoot faults in field conditions, especially in water networks and earthwork operations.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
Comply with electrical codes and project-specific safety protocols.
Coordinate with site supervisors, civil teams, and mechanical technicians during installations.
Maintain safety compliance, especially near water sources and excavation areas.
Complete documentation such as test reports, service logs, and material checklists.
Respond to emergency issues and power faults in remote areas.
Qualifications:
Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience with medium voltage systems, preferably in water infrastructure or earthwork projects.
Knowledge of submersible pumps, MCC panels, and field control units.
Experience working in outdoor and construction environments.
Familiarity with safety procedures around waterworks and excavation sites.
Valid and transferable Iqama.
