Job Description

1. Quality Control Testing and Inspection
Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Perform quality control tests to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Assist in developing and implementing test protocols for accurate, reliable results.
2. Compliance and Documentation
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and compliance outcomes.
Document non-conformities and report findings to the QA/QC Manager.
Ensure data is audit-ready and accessible for inspections.
3. Support for Quality Assurance Program
Assist in implementing and monitoring the quality assurance program and SOPs.
Support the QA/QC Manager with internal audits and production area inspections.
4. Sampling and Analysis
Perform random and routine sampling for quality analysis.
Monitor adherence to food safety regulations and organic certification standards.
5. Product Quality Monitoring
Monitor product quality during production and report deviations.
Verify labeling and packaging accuracy and compliance with regulations.
6. Problem Identification and Resolution
Identify quality issues and support root cause analysis with production teams.
Assist in implementing corrective actions and managing product recalls.
7. Training and Development
Train production staff on quality control processes and standards.
Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
8. Continuous Improvement
Contribute to quality reviews and process optimization initiatives.
Recommend improvements to enhance quality control and management systems.

An emerging organic dairy & agri farm and processing business committed to producing high-quality, sustainable, and nutritious food products is seeking a dedicated Quality Controller. With integrated operations spanning organic dairy, livestock, poultry, beekeeping, and fruit & vegetable farming, and a dedicated processing unit, the company is preparing to bring a range of new products to market within the next 30 weeks. The role supports the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager and is essential to upholding food safety, hygiene, and organic certification standards throughout the production process.

Minimum Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Microbiology, or a related field. Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., HACCP, ISO 9001) are advantageous.

Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in dairy, poultry, livestock, or food processing.
Hands-on experience with product testing, sampling, and inspections.
Familiarity with food safety regulations, organic certification, and QA standards.
Exposure to R&D processes and new product development is a plus.
Knowledge of EU or USDA regulatory environments.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage documentation efficiently and meet deadlines.
Experience with food safety lab operations and microbiological testing is desirable.
