Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Insurance Coordinator with specialized expertise in marine project and construction-related insurance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex insurance portfolios for marine projects, processing claims, and providing critical risk assessment support to ensure robust protection for our vessels, equipment, and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Management: Administer and renew marine-specific policies, including Hull & Machinery (H&M), Protection & Indemnity (P&I), and Project All Risk (PAR) insurance for marine construction and offshore projects.
Claims Processing: Handle end-to-end claims management for marine project-related claims, including vessel damage, equipment breakdown, and project delays.
Construction & Project Risk: Administer Contractors All Risk (CAR) policies, Erection All Risk (EAR) policies, and Marine Project Insurance for ongoing offshore and nearshore projects.
Liability Expertise: Manage claims and policies related to Public Liability, Third-Party Liability (TPL), and Employers’ Liability specific to marine and construction environments.
Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments for new marine projects and provide recommendations on insurance requirements and mitigation strategies.
Contract Review: Analyze project contracts to identify insurance requirements, indemnity clauses, and ensure compliance with client and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between brokers, underwriters, surveyors, legal teams, and project managers.
Documentation: Maintain precise records of all policies, certificates of insurance, claims correspondence, and renewals.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on claims status, loss ratios, and insurance program performance for senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in an insurance coordination or brokerage role, with a mandatory focus on marine project and construction insurance.
In-depth knowledge of:
Marine Project Insurance: Hull & Machinery, P&I, Project All Risk (PAR), and Delay in Start-Up (DSU).
Construction Insurance: CAR, EAR, and Third-Party Liability.
Liability Insurance: Public, Product, and Contractual Liability.
Proven experience in claims negotiation and settlement for marine and construction projects.
Strong understanding of policy wordings, terms, and conditions.
Experience in risk assessment and providing insurance recommendations for projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in insurance software and MS Office Suite.
