Job Description

Job Purpose:
To develop, monitor, and control project schedules for building construction projects, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and timely completion of works in line with contractual obligations, company policies, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop baseline project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
Prepare detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), activity coding, and logic sequences.
Identify critical path and milestones for timely project execution.
Monitor, update, and revise schedules as per site progress and changes.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track and report project progress against the baseline schedule.
Analyze variances and delays, providing recovery plans and corrective actions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
Prepare dashboards and S-curves for progress visualization.
Resource & Cost Planning
Coordinate with project teams to forecast manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
Integrate cost and resource data with the schedule for earned value management (EVM).
Monitor productivity and efficiency to ensure cost-effective operations.
Coordination & Communication
Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to align schedules.
Attend progress and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
Highlight potential risks, delays, and recommend mitigation measures.
Claims & Extension of Time (EOT)
Assist in the preparation of claims, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and delay analysis.
Provide detailed records of delays and disruption events.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure project schedules comply with contract requirements and company standards.
Maintain updated planning records, logs, and correspondence.

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Civil)

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of proven experience in Planning & Scheduling for Civil – Building Construction projects (towers, residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments).
Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and industry standards.
Familiar with contract conditions (FIDIC preferable).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in high-rise, large-scale, or complex building projects.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Team player with leadership and coordination capabilities.
