Job Description

Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment, including motors, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS systems, and lighting systems.
Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults in coordination with the maintenance and operations teams.
Support maintenance and inspection of electrical systems for high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) applications.
Assist in the calibration, testing, and replacement of electrical components and control systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Support installation and commissioning activities for new or upgraded electrical systems and components.
Collaborate with instrumentation and control teams to ensure effective plant automation and monitoring.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, cable trays, grounding systems, and junction boxes.
Report unsafe conditions and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures strictly during maintenance work.

Technical Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in an industrial facility, ideally in water desalination, utilities, or process plants.
Strong working knowledge of motors, VFDs, control panels, power distribution systems, and basic instrumentation.
Familiarity with SWRO plants or water treatment processes is an advantage.
Knowledge of electrical safety and working in HV/LV environments is essential.
Experience with CMMS platforms and basic computer literacy.
