Job Description

Job Purpose

Proposal Estimator / Engineer with hands on experience with Saudi Aramco & other KSA End-user Projects for Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Skids, Fin Fan Coolers etc.

Job related responsibilities:

1. Making site visits as and when required.

2. Coordination with the Marketing Engineer for any clarifications or input from client.

3. Coordination with the Design department for thickness calculations, procurement for material prices, Manufacturing department for other manufacturing inputs related to Proposals & Estimation.

4. Coordination with QA/QC and HSE for new requirements as per bid documents which may have a cost impact.

5. To prepare the BOQ and checking of BOQ prepared by others, as per data sheet and thicknesses provided by Design department.

6. To acquire prices from different vendors for various services such as Plates, Forgings, tubes, etc.

7. To update the norms regularly with consultation of cost controller with reference to the identical jobs executed earlier.

8. To do estimation, costing, bid stage project scheduling in line with Project requirements.

9. Calculation of minimum manufacturing resources such as manpower, equipment, and tools, etc. required for project specific bid stage Proposal preparation.

10. To prepare the scope of supply, Techno-commercial Proposal & other required T&C’s.

11. To prepare replies to the Technical Clarifications & Queries raised by the clients on the proposal submitted for their projects.

12. To review the award of contract documents and purchase order before acknowledging them to the client, with the consultation of Incharge Marketing and Incharge Proposals.

13. To prepare work order and cost summary sheet for getting the approval from Incharge Proposals & Manager.

14. Distribute work order and cost summary sheet along with relevant documents to Finance and Project Management Group.

15. Discussing the bottlenecks with the Marketing & Business Development team and Incharge Proposals to prepare the most feasible costing.

Maintain costing database.

Desired Skill Set:

The following mandatory requirements are over and above the basic qualifications:

1. Having Minimum of 5~8 years of Experience in complete bid preparation which includes Proposals & Estimation of Static Equipment’s (Vessels, Heat Exchanger’s & Columns).

2. Experience in Proposals & Estimation of bids related to Skids & Fin Fan Coolers will be an added advantage.

3. Capable to study drawings & understanding of fabrication process.

4. Familiarity with Material of different grades of CS, Stainless Steel & Alloy Steels w.r.t ASME Code & Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SASREF specification’s, etc.

5. Fully conversant with costing, resource calculation, cash flow preparation and different types of graphical techniques including histogram, bar charts and s – curves preparation.

6. Good hands-on experience with MS Word, Excel, MS Project
