Job Description

Roles:

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and developing sales strategies tailored to liner, freight forwarding, and NVOCC services.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify new business opportunities and create proposals to win clients.
Maintain and expand relationships with top shipping customers.
Develop networks with overseas partners and NVOCC/MLO operators.
Conduct market research and develop new business channels.
Increase recurring revenue and convert first-time customers into regular clients.
Address gaps in customer expectations and service levels.
Align team roles with organizational strategies and priorities.
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for management.
Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Lead and support teams in new projects, initiatives, and knowledge sharing.
Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: 10–12 years in ship agency, shipping, or freight forwarding operations; at least 5 years managing relationships with shipping lines.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of maritime operations, shipping documentation, NVOCC, liner, and freight forwarding services.
Skills:
Proven track record in business development and client acquisition.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Ability to lead teams, align roles with organizational strategy, and drive revenue growth.
Proficient in preparing sales forecasts, reports, and presentations.
