Job Description

Rapidly respond to emergency calls, assessing the situation and deploying appropriate firefighting techniques and equipment to save lives and property.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and fire hazards, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations to prevent fire incidents.
Perform advanced rescue operations, including extricating individuals from dangerous situations, such as vehicle accidents or collapsed structures.
Educate the public on fire prevention, safety measures, and emergency preparedness through community outreach programs and workshops.
Engage in ongoing training and drills to maintain physical fitness and proficiency in firefighting techniques, equipment operation, and emergency response.
Collaborate with other emergency services, such as police and medical teams, to ensure effective and coordinated responses to incidents.
Maintain and inspect firefighting equipment and apparatus, ensuring all tools are in optimal working condition before and after use.
Document incident reports accurately, detailing the nature of emergencies, response actions taken, and outcomes for future reference and analysis.
Participate in post-incident analyses to improve strategies and techniques based on lessons learned from firefighting and rescue operations.

High school diploma or equivalent; further education in fire science, emergency management, or a related field is preferred.
Completion of a firefighter training academy and possession of relevant certifications, such as EMT or paramedic qualifications.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in firefighting or emergency services, demonstrating hands-on expertise in high-pressure environments.
Preference for candidates with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, as driving fire apparatus is a core responsibility.
Proficient in operating firefighting equipment, tools, and technology, with a strong understanding of fire suppression systems.
Exceptional physical fitness, capable of meeting rigorous demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and enduring high-stress scenarios.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams under critical conditions.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with a focus on quick decision-making in dynamic and unpredictable environments.
