Job Description
Design and maintain complex geodatabases, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance for spatial analysis.
Develop and implement robust data migration strategies to seamlessly integrate diverse spatial datasets into the ArcGIS environment.
Create and manage geodatabase schemas, including feature classes, relationships, and domains to structure geospatial information effectively.
Develop and execute SQL queries and Python scripts for data manipulation, analysis, and automation of GIS workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, optimizing queries and indexes for efficient data retrieval.
Collaborate with GIS analysts and developers to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
Implement and maintain data security protocols, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive geospatial information.
Provide technical support and training to end-users on geodatabase management and data access procedures.

Bachelor of Architecture
Any
Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s is a plus.
Holds relevant certifications such as ArcGIS Desktop Professional or ArcGIS Server Enterprise System Design.
Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS database administration within the [Industry] industry.
Exhibits a strong understanding of relational database concepts, including SQL, and experience with database platforms like PostgreSQL/PostGIS or SQL Server.
Demonstrates expertise in managing and configuring ArcGIS Server and Portal environments.
Experience with data modeling, geodatabase design, and the creation of feature classes, topologies, and network datasets.
Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot database performance issues.
Exhibits strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
