JOB PROFILE: Sales Executive – Import & Export (Petrochemical Industry)

1. Role Summary
The Sales Executive (Import & Export – Petrochemical Division) is responsible for generating new business, managing existing clients, and executing end-to-end trade operations in the petrochemical sector. This includes sourcing, selling, negotiating, managing shipments, coordinating logistics, and ensuring seamless international trade activities across global markets.

The ideal candidate should have strong product knowledge in petrochemicals, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and hands-on experience in import/export documentation, LC handling, and international trade execution.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Business Development
• Identify, target, and acquire new clients across global markets (Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe).
• Manage the full sales cycle—from inquiry to negotiation, closing, and post-sales service.
• Promote and sell a wide range of petrochemical and inorganic fertilizers product
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and identify emerging market opportunities.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as assigned by the management.

B. Supplier & Product Sourcing
• Coordinate with local & international suppliers for timely procurement.
• Maintain updated knowledge on product grades, technical specifications, MSDS, and quality standards.
• Evaluate supplier offers, negotiate pricing, and secure favorable contract terms.

C. Import & Export Operations
• Coordinate payments, and trade finance arrangements.
• Handle all shipping documentation
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transporters.
• Ensure compliance with international trading method

D. Client Relationship Management
• Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular follow-ups, visits, and updates.
• Provide technical support and accurate product information.
• Manage complaints, resolve issues, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

E. Reporting & Coordination
• Prepare daily MIS reports, inquiry status, shipment pipeline, and sales forecasts.
• Align with finance, operations, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and business networking events.

3. Skills & Competencies Required
• knowledge of petrochemical/petroleum derivatives and industrial chemical products (preference)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• understanding of import/export documentation and INCOTERMS
• Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and work in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/CRM systems, and email communication.
• Decision-making ability with strong commercial awareness.

4. Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (minimum required)
• 2–5 years of experience in petrochemical sales, international trading, or export/import operations ( preference)
• Knowledge of GCC, African, Asian, and European markets is an added advantage.
• Fluency in English (Arabic/Hindi/Chinese/Russian is a plus).
