About the Role

We are a fast-growing Payment Aggregator seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to manage daily reconciliations, merchant settlements, dispute handling, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in payments/finance operations and advanced Excel expertise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reconciliation
• Perform daily/weekly reconciliation of:
• Payment gateway transactions
• Bank settlements
• Merchant ledger balances
• Transaction success/failure reports
• Identify and resolve mismatches between internal systems, bank statements, and merchant reports.
• Track pending transactions and escalate discrepancies to internal teams.

2. Merchant Settlements
• Calculate merchant payouts after fees, refunds, chargebacks, and adjustments.
• Ensure timely and accurate settlements to merchants.
• Generate settlement files and share reports with merchants and internal stakeholders.

3. Reporting & Analytics
• Prepare dashboards and reports on:
• Transaction volumes
• Settlement cycles
• Reconciliation delays
• Revenue and fee calculations
• Automate repetitive reports using Excel macros, Power Query, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.

4. Operational Support
• Work closely with Finance, Tech, and Support teams to resolve payment issues.
• Assist in audits by providing transaction and settlement data.
• Handle dispute and chargeback documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in payment operations, reconciliation, settlements, or financial operations (experience in a PG/PSP/Fintech is a strong plus).
• Advanced Excel Mandatory:
• Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH
• Power Query
• Macros/VBA (preferred)
• Data cleaning & automation
• Strong understanding of payment flows, MDR, TDR, chargebacks, refunds, and settlement cycles.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines with high accuracy.
