Technical Team Leader – Theme Park Industry
Job Description
The role of the Technical Team Leader is to support the Technical Management with responsibility to ensure that all technical requirements for all types of rides and equipment in the complex are monitored and met.
This role will involve active participation during the installation of rides and equipment on site, working alongside contractors and manufacturers, to implement the company’s maintenance requirements, operations and technical pre and post opening requirements, and ensuring operational readiness.
Ensure compliance with maintenance requirements, in collaboration with the business operating plan, for each type within the complex, including but not limited to:
Support the evaluation of local and international market opportunities, such as the evaluation of potential new contractors, specialized supply and service companies, authorized/official spare parts distributors and trading companies, etc., in line with
Technical and operational requirements and purchase orders.
Able to fulfill the responsibilities of the Assistant Technical Director during absences.
Assist in implementing and complying with maintenance strategy, including but not limited to:
Required profile for candidates
Any nationality
Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical)

Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken Arabic is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (electrical or mechanical)
NEBOSH is an advantage but not essential.
Minimum of 2 years in the entertainment and attractions industry (preferably in the theme park industry)
Familiar experience required
▪ Familiar with EN13814 and/or ASTM F24 standards, including roller coasters, carousels,
Dark games, wind tunnel, climbing wall, go karting, and play parks.
▪ Familiar with SASO technical regulations for amusement park games, advantage
But it is not necessary.
▪ Technical expertise in the entertainment and attractions industry, including NDT procedures,
Lubrication, use of technical documents, diagrams and torque.
▪ Proven track record in daily maintenance of amusement park/FEC unit rides, equipment and/or
Water park equipment along with certification/re-certification process support.
▪ Detailed knowledge of roller coasters (rehabilitation, certifications, evacuation, LOTO).
▪ Action games, family games, kids games, wind tunnel, climbing walls, E-karting/go-karting.
