Roles and Responsibilities

Create detailed electrical drawings and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Review and interpret electrical designs, specifications and requirements from engineers and architects.
Ensure that all electrical plans comply with local, state and national codes and regulations.
Collaborate with project teams to understand the scope and requirements of each project.
Update and revise existing electrical drawings as needed.
Conduct field visits to collect data and verify measurements.
Assist in the development and maintenance of electrical drawing standards and best practices.
Coordinate with other draftsmen, engineers and project managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.

Experience with advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical or similar
Knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Previous experience in electrical drawing or related field
Strong problem solving skills and analytical thinking ability
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
Certificate or associate degree in electrical drawing, electrical engineering, or related field
Proficiency in using CAD software to create detailed electrical drawings.
Basic understanding of electrical systems, circuits and components
Attention to detail and precision in drawing work
Ability to interpret technical documents, schematics and electrical symbols.
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
High school diploma or equivalent
