Job Summary
The Procurement and Planning Engineer is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of materials, services, and equipment required for interior fit-out projects while optimizing costs and quality. Additionally, they oversee project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure smooth execution and on-time project completion.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Responsibilities
• Identify and source materials, finishes, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) required for interior fit-out projects.
• Evaluate and select vendors based on price, quality, and delivery time.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to optimize project costs.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and assess vendor performance.
• Manage procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
• Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with the design and project teams to align procurement schedules with project requirements.
• Address and resolve procurement-related issues such as material shortages or delays.
Planning & Scheduling Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Plan and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project schedules.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor work progress, resource allocation, and project constraints.
• Prepare reports on project status, progress, and resource utilization.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control by tracking material costs and project expenditures.
• Ensure alignment between procurement timelines and project execution schedules.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-7 years of experience in procurement and planning, preferably in the interior fit-out industry.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
o Experience with project planning tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
o Knowledge of interior fit-out materials, finishes, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) coordination.
o Understanding of contract terms, negotiation strategies, and supplier management.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
o Attention to detail and time management.
o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
