Job Description
SECTION I: JOB PURPOSE
The Accountant – Finance, is accountable for preparing and examining financial records , ensuring that records are accurate and in line with applicable standards and regulations.
SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
• Keep general ledger account books and systems up to date.
• Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations
• Gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data.
• Update daily transaction records and assist with payroll administration.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, as well as expenses.
• Keep records of invoices and tax payments, as well as reviewing and processing reimbursements.
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and budgets.
• Resolve account discrepancies and perform account reconciliations.
• Ensure current knowledge of all regulatory requirements and best practice for financial administration are up to date with contractual, legal and market requirements
• Accountable for minimizing Errors Detected by External Auditors, on time payments from customers/vendors and minimization of Finance Report Error rate
• Weekly and Monthly Reporting to Shareholders

SECTION III: KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Educational and Technical Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
• Accounting qualification or part-qualification in ACA, CIMA or ACCA is Preferred
•
Language Skills:
• English (fluent spoken and written), Arabic is an asset
• In depth understanding of Bahraini tax regulations.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures. International Financial Reporting Standards knowledge is a value added.
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Experience in a management or a supervisory capacity in finance
• Understanding of Intra-company report handling & cash management.

Nature of Experience:
· Experience in General accounting, billing and revenue accounting, reconciling bank statements, financial reporting, administration of payroll and payments, financial data analysis and Taxation
