Job Description

a. Assists in well testing within the assigned area, empties test tanks, and opens and closes valves following the Supervisor’s instructions. This includes using hand tools and monitoring gauges/pressure as required.

b. Carries out general fitting and cleaning on wellheads and sub-centers as directed, replaces orifice plates, and installs pressure gauges and control valves on test separators and wellhead piping meters. Services moving parts on manifolds, valves, and instruments. Rigs up flare lines for on-location tests as required.

c. Performs all maintenance required for all testing facilities and equipment. Operates the transfer pump when necessary.

d. Collects samples of crude oil from wellheads and other sampling points in sub-centers daily, flushes sampling points prior to taking samples, and labels containers as required. Delivers samples to the laboratory as scheduled.

e. Collects samples from the wellhead and other sampling points daily, records the level from which to collect representative samples (i.e., top, middle, and lower parts of tanks) when required.

f. Maintains testing tools and equipment on site in good condition for testing and sampling operations.

g. Connects and disconnects hoses and pipe fittings between wellheads, flowlines, test separators, and test tanks.

h. Takes oil, water, and gas meter readings and records totalizer and water cut analyzer data.

i. Uses the well test entry and validation system to load well test and pressure test data.

j. Operates the air compressor, laptop, and any auxiliary system on any test unit.

k. Operates the generator, monitors diesel levels, fills diesel tanks, and connects the data transfer cable as needed.

l. Operates the Multiphase Flow Measurement System (MPFM) units and performs well tests. Carries out various activities such as refueling these units and relocating the unit to various locations.

m. Carries out pressure testing for casing, tubing, and wellhead; ensures that all necessary equipment, such as pressure gauges and valves, is functioning properly on the well.

n. Takes periodic readings and reports them to the Supervisor.

o. Reports any abnormal well conditions and the testing equipment’s functionality.

p. Works with the SCADA interface for input parameters while starting the test. Performs other similar or related duties, such as opening and closing gates of the sub-center, working on special assignments, conducting any Field Production Operations and/or maintenance-related duties as directed by the Supervisor, maintaining good housekeeping practices, adhering to all EHS policies, rules, and regulations, and reporting hazards to the Supervisor, etc.

Earned 4 years of related experience, including 2 years in a similar position
Kuwait Resident/Transferrable Visa Article 18
