ELECTRIC VEHICLE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electric Vehicle Service Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of EV systems, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring high-quality service, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and repair electric vehicles, including battery systems, electric motors, inverters, and charging systems
Perform advanced diagnostics using EV-specific diagnostic tools and software
Inspect high-voltage systems and ensure compliance with safety standards
Conduct preventive maintenance and routine servicing of EVs
Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and software-related vehicle issues
Install, repair, and maintain EV charging equipment
Test vehicles post-repair to ensure optimal performance and safety
Maintain accurate service records and job reports
Follow manufacturer guidelines and workshop safety protocols
Support junior technicians with technical guidance and best practices
Stay updated with the latest EV technologies and service procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an EV Technician or Electric Vehicle Service Specialist
Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, lithium-ion batteries, and power electronics
Expertise in electrical diagnostics and fault-finding
Familiarity with EV diagnostic tools and service software
Understanding of EV safety procedures and regulations
Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications
Technical Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
