Job Description

Develop and maintain RPG, CL, and SQL code to meet business requirements and system specifications, ensuring code quality and efficiency.
Analyze existing AS400 applications, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize performance and functionality.
Design and develop new AS400 applications, including database design, user interface design, and application logic.
Troubleshoot and debug AS400 applications, identifying and resolving issues to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.
Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform system testing and quality assurance to ensure that AS400 applications meet specified requirements and are free of errors.
Maintain and update AS400 system documentation, including code documentation, user manuals, and system diagrams.
Participate in code reviews to ensure that code adheres to coding standards and best practices.
Provide technical support to end-users, resolving issues and answering questions related to AS400 applications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest AS400 technologies and trends, continuously expanding knowledge and skills.

Bachelors in Computer Application(Computers), Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Computers), Master of Technology/Engineering(Computers)

Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in programming principles.
Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in AS400 development, showcasing practical experience in diverse projects.
Exhibits strong proficiency in RPG, CL, and SQL programming languages, including writing, debugging, and optimizing code.
Possesses experience in database design, including creating and managing physical and logical files on the AS400 platform.
Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrates experience with AS400 system utilities and commands, including BRMS, Operations Navigator, and system monitoring tools.
