Job Description

Administer medications and treatments accurately, tailoring approaches to the unique needs of infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Monitor vital signs and assess patients’ conditions continuously, identifying subtle changes that may indicate a worsening condition and proactively communicating concerns to the medical team.
Provide comprehensive patient and family education on disease management, medication instructions, and preventive care, empowering families to actively participate in their child’s health journey.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring a holistic approach to each child’s well-being.
Assist with medical procedures, such as IV insertions and wound care, demonstrating proficiency and maintaining a sterile environment to prevent infections.
Offer emotional support to children and their families during stressful hospital stays, fostering a comforting atmosphere that promotes healing.

Possesses a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution, demonstrating a strong foundation in nursing principles.
Holds a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, ensuring legal authorization to provide nursing care.
Maintains current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, showcasing the ability to handle pediatric emergencies.
Has a minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing, providing a proven track record of clinical expertise and patient care.
Demonstrates a preference for candidates who are US citizens or permanent residents, complying with employment regulations.
Proficient in English, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
