Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Application Support Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic technology team supporting critical investment banking applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background across Linux, Windows, WAS, MQ, Apache, Cloud platforms, and a solid understanding of networking and security architectures (DMZ/EDMZ). Prior experience in the investment banking or financial services domain will be highly preferred

• Provide L2/L3 support for business-critical applications in a high-availability, multiplatform environment.

• Manage application deployments and troubleshooting across Linux and Windows servers.

• Support and configure WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Apache HTTP Server, and IBM MQ.

• Monitor and maintain secure environments involving DMZ and EDMZ zones.

• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and network teams for environment stability and issue resolution.

• Implement and support applications on cloud platforms and Anthos hybrid cloud environments.

• Ensure adherence to compliance and security policies across environments.

• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in DR drills and RCA reporting.

Technical Skills:

• Operating Systems: Linux (RHEL preferred), Windows Server

• Middleware: WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM MQ

• Web Servers: Apache, IIS (optional)

• Cloud Platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Anthos (preferred), or AWS/Azure

• Security Zones: Strong understanding of DMZ, EDMZ architecture

• Networking: Basic concepts (IP, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, etc.)

• Scripting: Bash, PowerShell (optional)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an investment banking or capital markets environment.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a 24×7 support model (rotational shifts, if needed).
