Job Purpose
The Automation Projects Sales Manager is responsible for developing and managing sales of industrial automation and control system projects. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, managing key accounts, coordinating with engineering and project teams, and closing profitable automation projects across industries such as oil & gas, power, water etc.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
– Identify, develop, and manage automation project opportunities (PLC, DCS, SCADA, instrumentation, panels, and system integration).
– Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, EPC contractors, OEMs, and consultants.
– Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to order closure.

Project & Technical Coordination
– Coordinate with engineering, proposal, and project execution teams.
– Support technical clarifications, negotiations, and pre-award meetings.

Commercial & Contract Management
– Prepare and negotiate commercial terms and pricing strategies.
– Ensure compliance with company policies and approval processes.

Key Account Management
– Manage key customers for repeat business.
– Maintain sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.

Partner & Vendor Coordination
– Coordinate with OEMs and technology partners

KPIs
– Order intake and revenue
– Gross margin
– Sales pipeline and conversion rate
– Customer satisfaction

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Automation Engineering.
– 8–12 years of experience in automation project sales or system integration.

Skills
– Strong understanding of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and instrumentation.
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
– Ability to manage EPC and end-user projects.
