BIM Lead/Coordinator
Job Description
The Project BIM Lead / Coordinator is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing all BIM-related activities across project disciplines. This role ensures the implementation of BIM standards, processes, and digital deliverables in compliance with the Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), ISO 19650 framework, and client requirements. The position plays a key role in ensuring high-quality model coordination, efficient information management, and timely delivery of BIM outputs.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multi-disciplinary BIM coordination processes for design and construction stages.
Develop and maintain the Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), model setup, and coordination workflows.
Conduct model reviews, clash detection, and issue tracking using Navisworks, BIM Track, or similar tools.
Manage model federation, version control, and coordination through the Common Data Environment (CDE).
Ensure models comply with defined LOD, data requirements, and naming conventions.
Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve model-related issues.
Prepare BIM progress reports, issue logs, and coordination meeting minutes.
Support training, mentoring, and performance monitoring of BIM modelers and support staff.
Collaborate with the BIM Manager on digital strategy, QA/QC reviews, and process optimization.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Architectural or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in project execution within the AECO industry, with a focus on project delivery and a demonstrated track record of managing BIM on large-scale construction projects.
Technical Proficiency (Mandatory): Expert-level proficiency and hands-on management experience with core BIM delivery tools:
Autodesk Revit
Autodesk Navisworks Manage (Advanced coordination)
Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 (CDE and Project Management)
AutoCAD
Standard Expertise: Demonstrable, in-depth, and practical experience in the successful application and project-level delivery of information management according to BIM ISO 19650 standards.
Core Competencies: Exceptional leadership, project coordination, risk management, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders (designers, subs, owners) in a high-pressure project environment
