Job Description
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for which specific privileges have been granted based on experience and skills.
Maintain high standards of medical ethics and clinical practice in vascular and interventional radiology imaging.
Ensure accurate reporting of imaging findings for inclusion in patient records.
Collaborate with other departments to interpret imaging results and assist in determining the nature and extent of necessary treatment.
Participate in emergency coverage and on-call duties as required by the department, including weekends and holidays.
Engage in clinical reviews and contribute to evidence-based practices.
Participate in medical imaging practices as determined by the Chairman of Medical Imaging and Section Head.
Maintain competency in all modalities of vascular and interventional radiology imaging.
Execute administrative tasks as directed by the Chairman of Medical Imaging and Section Head.
Serve on hospital and departmental committees as appointed.
Report any violations of departmental policies and procedures to appropriate leadership.
Ensure departmental practices comply with JCIA and CABAHI standards.
Provide input to the Section Head and Chairman on departmental matters.
Actively participate in formal education programs within the hospital.
Train and supervise residents and fellows, audit their work, and encourage scholarly output and publication.
Promote public education by developing explanatory materials to raise awareness about imaging services and the importance of radiological procedures.
Initiate and support clinical research projects within the domain of radiological imaging.
Plan research initiatives, secure funding, and utilize institutional infrastructure to facilitate research and publication.
Seek partnerships for research funding and development.
Audit personal and departmental work to improve quality and introduce evidence-based practices.
Actively participate in quality improvement (QI) initiatives.
Liaise with the Chairman, Section Head, and clinical teams to address service needs and coordinate care.
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and all internal and external stakeholders involved in clinical and non-clinical disciplines.

Candidates must hold a basic medical degree (e.g., MBBS) along with board certification in Radiology and a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. A minimum of five (5) years of post-board certification experience is required.
