Job Description

Job Summary

Euro Group Engineering Consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Contracts Engineer to support the preparation, administration, and management of project contracts across our engineering design portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in contract drafting, claims evaluation, cost analysis, and compliance with both Saudi regulations and international contracting standards.

This role requires a detail‑oriented professional with deep knowledge of engineering consultancy contracts, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, legal teams, and internal project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Preparation & Administration

Prepare, review, and finalize contract documents, agreements, and tender packages in accordance with project requirements.
Ensure all contract terms comply with Saudi laws, government authority requirements, and international standards such as FIDIC.
Support the development of contract strategies, procurement plans, and commercial frameworks.

2. Tendering & Procurement Support

Assist in preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), and tender evaluation criteria.
Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of bids and proposals.
Participate in negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to secure favorable terms.

3. Contract Monitoring & Compliance

Monitor contract performance, deliverables, timelines, and financial obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of contract correspondence, variations, amendments, and approvals.

4. Claims, Variations & Dispute Resolution

Review, analyze, and validate claims, change orders, and variations submitted by contractors or consultants.
Prepare recommendations and reports for management decision‑making.
Support dispute resolution processes by providing technical and contractual insights.

5. Coordination & Stakeholder Communication

Collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, finance departments, and legal advisors.
Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and authorities to address contractual matters.
Provide guidance to project teams on contractual obligations, risks, and best practices.

6. Risk Management & Cost Control

Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Support cost control efforts by monitoring budgets, expenditures, and contractual commitments.
Contribute to value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Civil)

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of proven work experience in Saudi Arabia.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, Saudi contracting regulations, and engineering consultancy frameworks.
Experience in contract drafting, tendering, claims evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
Proficiency in contract management software, MS Office, and project documentation tools.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.

Work Conditions

Primarily office‑based at Euro Group’s Riyadh headquarters.
Occasional visits to project sites, client offices, and authority departments for coordination.
Fast‑paced environment requiring strong organizational and communication skills.
