Cost Controller
Job Description
✅ Position Summary:
As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the cost structure of our manufacturing operations. You will ensure effective cost management practices that help maximize profitability and support strategic decision-making.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze production costs, material costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses to ensure they align with budgets and standards.
Prepare, review, and maintain cost reports, cost forecasts, and variance analysis.
Develop and implement cost control procedures to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and finance teams to gather cost data accurately.
Perform regular inventory analysis, monitor stock levels, and ensure proper valuation of raw materials and finished goods.
Assist in preparing the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and management reports.
Evaluate suppliers’ performance and material pricing to ensure cost efficiency.
Review job orders and projects to ensure costs are allocated correctly.
Support internal and external audits related to cost and inventory control.
Provide cost-related recommendations to management for pricing strategies and profitability improvements.
✅ Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Cost Controller, preferably in a manufacturing or construction industry — experience with tiles, stone, marble, or similar materials is a plus.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, cost analysis, and budgeting.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Solid understanding of production processes, inventory management, and standard costing.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other industry-relevant software).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
