Job Description

A Cost Estimator prepares detailed cost estimates for Landscape and Infrastructure projects analyzes technical drawings, calculates material and labor costs, assesses project risks, and collaborates with teams to ensure budget alignment and compliance with regulations.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including material takeoffs, labor costs, and equipment expenses, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive and competitive cost estimates, considering all project phases.
Conduct site visits and assess project conditions to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimations and identify potential challenges.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information, clarify project scopes, and validate cost data, fostering strong working relationships.
Evaluate and compare vendor quotes, negotiate favorable pricing, and select the most cost-effective options for materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, track changes, and prepare cost reports to identify variances and potential cost overruns, enabling proactive management.
Maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data, industry benchmarks, and unit prices, enabling the development of more accurate and informed estimates.
Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and construction methods to improve estimation accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and present cost estimates, bid proposals, and other financial documents to clients and stakeholders, showcasing a clear understanding of project costs.
Manage and mentor junior estimators, providing guidance, training, and support to develop their skills and ensure the consistent quality of cost estimations.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects, including roadworks, utilities, and all structural works.
Specialize in estimating costs for sewage networks, Drainage, Irrigation, Water supply networks, Fire Fighting and Etisalat communication networks etc.
Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and design plans for various infrastructure networks to ensure accurate cost estimations.
Calculate quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for complex infrastructure works, including pipelines, pumping stations etc.
Use cost estimating software to generate detailed and itemized cost breakdowns for infrastructure networks

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering

Any

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Infrastructure and landscaping experience or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in construction principles.
Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation within the construction industry, showcasing a proven track record of successful project estimations.
Proficient in using cost estimation software like Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar tools, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in cost analysis.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes, enabling precise cost assessments.
Exhibits excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, crucial for identifying and resolving complex cost-related issues.
Possesses strong negotiation and communication skills, necessary for interacting with vendors, clients, and project teams.
Proficient in Arabic and English (written and spoken), facilitating effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of cost estimates.
Possesses the ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to dynamic project environments.
Citizen of Saudi Arabia (KSA), demonstrating a commitment to working within the local construction market.
8-15 years (UAE Experience is a must)
